A. Ramachandran (b. 1935) is a renowned Indian painter. In 2002 he was elected a Fellow of the Lalit Kala Akademi, and in 2005 he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honour, for outstanding service to the nation. In 2013 he was conferred with an honorary doctorate by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. He is the author of Abode of Gods: Mural Traditions of Kerala, an extensive study on Kerala temple murals, as well as numerous picture books for children. Some of the original illustrations from these books are on permanent display at the Museum of Children's Books at Miyazaki, Japan.

Vinod Bhardwaj is a poet, novelist, memoirsit, as well as art and film critic. He has published three collections of poems (including Jalta Makaan and Hoshiarpur), two novels, two memoirs, one short story collection (Chiteri), and more than ten books on art and cinema. He has also compiled and published an acclaimed encyclopaedia of modern art in Hindi.
